Is it legal to hold a casino party?
Yes! Arizona law says that "social gaming" is legal as long as certain conditions are followed. All Fire and Dice games are played with casino scrip, or play money, that has no cash value, making our casino parties legal. Our event planners are aware of the law and will ensure that your event remains in compliance. If you have further questions on "social gaming" laws, feel free to visit the Arizona Department of Gaming.
Why casino parties?
Traveling to a casino destination like Las Vegas or Atlantic City is one of the most exotic vacations a person can partake in. Many exciting action movies prominently feature gambling as the hero's choice of entertainment. The thrill of the chance winning money is exhilarating, and often extremely exciting for a player. Casino parties inject all this excitement, allure, and thrill into your group, and whether you are looking for a fun personal party, a good mixer for an office party, or an exciting draw for your fundraiser, casino parties are one of the most affordable ways to elevate your event from average to amazing.
What types of events are casino parties good for?
Any and all! We most often see casino parties for corporate parties or large personal parties, but we often see highly successful fundraisers planned around a casino night. We also have seen wedding receptions, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthday parties, holiday parties, graduation celebrations, and even coming of age parties planned with casino games being the primary form of entertainment.
How long does the casino gaming last?
Our standard casino parties feature three hours of play. While this may seem insufficient, most players are actually ready to finish around that time. Also, since most events occur in the evening, the three hours of play sandwiched between a meal and a prize drawing, are more than enough to entertain your guests before they call it a night. However, if you would like to extend play, each additional half hour can be purchased for $15 per dealer, if play is not to be extend beyond six hours. Please understand that to extend play beyond four hours, at least one week's notice is required, and that play beyond six hours is available only in special circumstances. Please contact us for more info.
What if my guests or I don't know how to play?
Not only are our highly trained dealers fun, outgoing, and conversational, but they are also skilled in their game and know the best ways to teach the game. If someone comes up to the table and doesn't know how to play, our dealers will gladly teach them, and even give them some inside secrets about the best bets.
Should I tip the dealers?
Just like foodservice workers, cab drivers, and bellhops, your dealers are service providers and if you feel like your dealer did an excellent job, please feel free to offer them a tip. Our dealers are provided a tip jar for their table, but are discouraged from petitioning or peddling for tips.
I would like to tip your dealers as a group. Advice?
Appropriate tips for a dealer are about $1-$2 per hour per player, so a dealer on average will earn about $20-$40 in a three hour period. If you would like take the responsibility of tipping our dealers on behalf of your guests, we will gladly accept the tip and then remove the tip jars from the tables.
